Becky and Marcella have spent the last five years mentoring teenage moms in the DFW area. In 2022, they started working with teenagers from the Irving area and founded Love Is in 2023. Their mission is simple: to show the love of Jesus to teenage parents.
Mentoring teenage moms positively impacts their progress in school, graduation rates, and interest in continuing education.
Love Is works with the local school district and alternative schooling programs to help teenage parents graduate high school.
“More than a third of teens aged 13-18 say they have done something sexual, or felt pressure to do something sexual, that they did not feel ready to do.”
Love Is invests in authentic relationships. Change happens when teen parents are supported, encouraged, and loved.
